GTC White House office block
TECHNICAL CONTENT
The design of GTC White House combines high quality architectural solutions with the city’s traditions and dominant trends. The secret of Budapest’s popularity lies in the unique mixture of old and new; this is what is reflected in this project of an office block, situated in Váci út. The building of the former elevator factory, dating back to more than a hundred years, was transformed into a new office block, creating unique, tailor made loft offices on roughly 2000 m2. This has been further extended with 20,000 m2 of new, modern, premium quality, rentable space.
IMPLEMENTING
Construction works started in July 2016 and the building was completed in June 2018. The experts of 3E International Kft. have been involved in tasks of technical consultancy, tendering, cost controll and technical supervision of the White House office building.
CURIOSITIES
The main characteristic of this new office building is that the developer GTC Hungary has maintained the existing historical production hall and transformed it to a modern loft structure office building. Next to it a new office building has been built. The GTC White House was designed and constructed according to the LEED Gold certification. The green roof, the recycling of the rain-water and the most modern heat insulation system contirbuted to the reduction of the energy consumption of the building.
