Residence of the Korean Embassy – kitchen fit-out

TECHNICAL CONTENT

A total conversion and furbishing of two kitchen spaces in the Residency, complete with professional appliances, kitchen furniture and storage areas to enable the serving of diplomatic receptions and lunches with up to 24 participants. In addition, the project covered a complete refurbishing and redecoration of the lounge, the great dining room and the adjacent rooms.

IMPLEMENTING

The project was completed in co-operation with four partners.  The ambassador’s residence was in operation during the whole time, which meant that extra energy and efforts were required to minimise the environmental stress.

CURIOSITIES

The project took place in a villa on Svábhegy, built in 1846 and designed by József Hild. It has been used as a diplomatic residence for almost two decades.
