ACE hangar

IMPLEMENTING

3E Construction Management, member of the 3E Group acted as Technical Inspector for the implementation of the 8,000 square metre ACE (Aeroplex of Central Europe) aircraft maintenance hangar at Budapest Airport.

CURIOSITIES

The hangar, which can accommodate four narrow-body or one wide-body aircraft at a time, was built using a total of 850 tonnes of steel, 96 reinforced concrete piles 6 metres deep, 2,900 cubic metres of concrete, 34,000 bolts and more than 920 sidewall panels. The hangar building can accommodate four narrow-body or one wide-body aircraft at a time, moved by two special cranes with a capacity of 5 tonnes and one with a capacity of 10 tonnes.
