TECHNICAL CONTENT
The client, Mercedes Benz Manufacturing Hungary Kft, wanted to build a plant for body manufacturing, one phase of a complex car manufacturing process, on a specific area of their site. Total net area of the constructed buildings is 92 000 m2.
IMPLEMENTING
One of the key requirements was to ensure a smooth operation of the factory during the construction project. Several small projects were carried out within the buildings of the existing factory, in line with the function of the new facility.
CURIOSITIES
At the premises of the Mercedes factory, the body manufacturing plant is the largest unit. The total area of the current building is 100,000 m2, which was doubled as a result of this development. Approximately 650 KUKA robots are involved in the manufacturing process. Depending on the type, each body is assembled from more than 400 different parts.
