Marriott Hotel Budapest – room refurbishment
TECHNICAL CONTENT
The Hotel Marriott Budapest was originally designed in 1966-1969 by the Budapest architect József Finta with the remarkable feature that all rooms have a breath-taking view of the Danube and the city unfolding before the windows. The new comprehensive interior design, which was realised in 2018, honours this distinct advantage and adopts the requirements of the 21st Century. The refurbishment project included the entire interior of the rooms, such as wall coverings, new floors, lightings, furniture and the replacement of all accessories
IMPLEMENTING
The project was implemented within a very tight time frame. The total room refurbishment of the entire 5 * Hotel Marriott Budapest included 342 double.double and kings rooms and 21 suites and was completed within less than 4 consecutive months.
CURIOSITIES
Despite the current situation of the Hungarian construction industry where Contractors are facing serious capacity problems and shortages of skilled labour force, this prestigious refurbishment project has been carried out continuously without any disruption. The project has proved that a well-organized Contractor and the professional inspection team can cooperate effectively with each other.
