Headquarters of the Scientific and Information Center of the Embassy of Hungary in Moscow
The listed building was built in 1887-1888 on Povarskaya Street. The Polish mission used the building in 1931-1934, then it was transferred to the Hungarian Embassy. The Hungarian Cultural Center has been operating in the building since 1999. Within the framework of the renovation plan, the specialists have to perform a complex set of tasks to restore the building to its original appearance. To do this, the lost monument protection details will be restored based on archival research, and the remaining details will be restored with appropriate expertise. In interiors, professionals remove some elements made later, such as the attic staircase. The original facade, windows, parquet, fireplace, cornices will be restored. Great attention will be paid during the work to the restoration of the internal stucco.
