What / how?
Contributing to the creation of a structured requirements catalogue (including the EIR – Exchange Information Requirements) related to the client’s BIM Execution Plan that can be sent to the designer/stakeholders.
When to use them?
The demands related to the BIM Execution Plan must be formulated for the service providers, but there is limited in-house experience of BIM, or confirmation is needed that attention has been paid to all aspects.
What information does the BEP contain?
How the data in BIM files is generated and managed
The roles and responsibilities of the project participants
Important strategic issues related to the turning points of the construction project
Practical issues regarding the use of the software
EIR – Exchange Information Requirements
During the life cycle of a construction project, a lot of information needs to be shared between project stakeholders, so it is important to define how this is done in a clearly written document. While the BEP clarifies the use of the software itself and the details of how to manage the model, the EIR lays out the information that needs to be shared between project participants. Therefore, it is essential that the BEP needs catalogue is prepared in line with the EIR to ensure effective cooperation between the parties involved.
