Construction of the ELI Research Institute in Szeged, technical supervision for which is provided by 3E International Kft, is approaching to the final stage. Employees of ELI will soon be able to move into the new facility; and by the end of 2018 or by the beginning of 2019 the latest, the complex will be able to operate with full capacity. The first great laser equipment is expected to arrive at the institute next spring; however, scientific works are already taking place. Although the complex has not been completed yet, the first patents have already been submitted, the institute has already joined several European research programmes and future users have also been contacted.
