We are looking for a colleague to join our 5-member Cost Management (QS) team who enjoys working independently and in a team on prestigious projects related to the construction and renovation of industrial buildings, office buildings, and hotels (initiated by international and Hungarian investors).
Responsibilities:
- Preparing cost estimates at various project phases
- Tendering:
- Compiling tender documentation
- Evaluating received bids
- Consulting with bidders and the Client
- Preparing professional cost recommendations for cost optimization (Value Engineering)
- Preparing tender reports
- Assisting in the compilation of contract annexes
- Cost management during construction:
- Updating financial schedules
- Monitoring costs
- Evaluating additional work
- Assessing cost optimizations
- Consulting with contractors and the Client
- Preparing monthly cost reports
- Occasional on-site presence at cooperations
- Preparing final settlements
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degrees may also be considered)
- At least 5 years of work experience in the construction industry or engineering consulting firm
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
- Fluent English language skills – necessary for client communication in several instances
- Proactive attitude – this is a key to our success
