An important milestone has been reached in the expansion of Decathlon’s logistics center in Hatvan

An important milestone has been reached in the expansion of Decathlon’s logistics center in Hatvan: the prefabricated reinforced concrete structure has been completed.
The project started half a year ago, and the technical content changed significantly in the meantime, which led to a redesign. The deep foundation, which was necessary due to the insufficient bearing capacity of the soil, has now been completed (with 60 cm diameter piles and about 1,200 40 cm diameter piles supporting the reinforced concrete floor that will be made later), as well as the monolithic reinforced concrete foundations and the entire prefabricated reinforced concrete structure.
During the structure adjustment, the pillars were placed first, then the reinforced concrete structural elements, each 30 meters long and weighing 18 tons, had to be lifted into place. Currently, the building’s reinforcing steel section is being installed, and the fireproof facade reinforced concrete panels located in the direction of the future expansion will be installed soon.
The logistics hall will be expanded by integrating mechanical and electrical systems, as well as by creating roads, parking lots, and green areas. In the area of the new hall to be built, it will be possible to use special high-shelf systems with automated robot technology as storage solutions.
The 3E Construction Management team will carry out the implementation, supplemented by the technical inspection and project management, and budget control specialists of the 3E Group.
Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
