3E International Kft provided technical supervision for the construction of a new logistics hall for TNT on a site next to Terminal 1 of Liszt Ferenc International Airport. Following the destruction of the old service buildings out of use, Budapest Airport decided to create a new logistics centre on the site. TNT (as a tenant) has just moved into the new, over 4000-square metre hall and the office buildings belonging to it.
The hall is directly connected to the internal spaces of the airport, which allows the goods prepared to reach the airplanes directly. This is where we receive incoming goods as well, where customs processes and sorting take place, and this is where transports to all parts of the country are sent from. Being so close to the airport, transport, customs and loading times and costs are reduced.
Due to the proximity of runway 1, it was a great challenge to organise the construction and logistics works, as the development had to be carried out without endangering aviation safety.
